A two-minute welcome from the first lesson.
A plan you can keep
Many soulpreneurs have more ideas than hours, and a folder of plans that lasted a few weeks. Most business plans are written for your best week.
This course plans for a real one:
- ✓It starts from your Minimum Viable Week, the hours you can protect even in a hard week.
- ✓You focus on one to three practices at a time, chosen for your level.
- ✓You set process goals, the actions you control, and use the results to decide what to do next.
- ✓Each plan is a small experiment, with clear rules for when to continue, adjust, or stop.
Before asking “What should I do?”, ask “What can I joyfully sustain?”
What you’ll be able to do, step by step
I recorded this course while teaching it to a live group, so you’ll also hear their questions and my answers. Each module has short videos and a lesson document you can read or hand to your AI.
- Module 1 · You’re where you need to be
Know where your business is, and start one small experiment
Find your level on the 5 Levels of soulpreneur business, and see why you’re not “behind.” Then get an overview of the 7 Practices and the 111 Formula, and schedule a 7-day tiny experiment.
This module is free to watch for 72 hours: start the free Module 1 replay.
- Workshop · Lessons learned
Know what to repeat from your past year
Look back at what to do more of, less of, differently, or for the first time.
You’ll see why repeating what worked usually beats starting over, and how to learn what people have already bought.
- Module 2 · Design a process-goal experiment
Turn a goal into an experiment that fits your real week
Plan from your capacity, using your Minimum Viable Week and your Ideal Week.
Then set process goals you control, with clear rules for when to continue, adjust, or stop.
- Module 3 · The BizPlan Template
Put your whole plan on one page
Fill in the BizPlan Template, the Google Doc I use: your level, your focus practices, and your typical week. You’ll also learn the signs that tell you it’s time to move to the next level.
- Module 4 · Strengths and the planning spreadsheet
Build your plan around your strengths
Notice where you have the most impact, what feels easy, and what surprises you, and see where your energy goes. If you like spreadsheets, an optional monthly planning sheet keeps your numbers in one place.
- Module 5 · Your questions, answered
Get past the questions that stall most plans
Nine short answers to students’ questions, including how much planning is enough and how to keep the important ahead of the urgent.
Also what to do when a relaunch underperforms, and how AI can help you plan.
- Bonus · Getting your reps in
Keep going when the old fears show up
Work through eight common blocks, like “I don’t want to bother people” and “What if no one signs up?” Each comes with a reframe and resources to help.
Two maps you’ll keep using
The course is built on two frameworks I’ve refined with hundreds of clients. Both are free to read, if you’d like a feel for the course first.
The 5 Levels of soulpreneur business
- 1Foundation
- 2Experimentation
- 3Validation
- 4Integration
- 5Kaizen Forever
Each level has its own focus, and you can’t skip one. Knowing yours tells you what to work on now, and what can wait.
The 7 Practices
- 1Joyful Productivity
- 2Authentic Content Creation
- 3Netcaring and Collabs
- 4Market Discovery and Aligned Offers
- 5Gentle Launches
- 6Mastery of Craft
- 7Healthy Money
You won’t work on all seven at once. The course helps you choose one to three that fit your level.

What students say
When students write about this course, these are the moments they mention most:
- ✓Seeing where their business is on the 5 Levels, and realizing they could fill gaps instead of adding more.
- ✓Letting go of feeling “behind,” and starting from where they are.
- ✓Process goals, which take the pressure off results they can’t control.
- ✓Sizing their plan to a Minimum Viable Week, the hours they can protect even in a hard week.
- ✓A simple plan they found useful right away.
These come from students of earlier versions of the course.
“I loved the clear explanations, and the encouragement to focus on one thing at a time, and how everything is recorded so I can revisit as I want to implement a different section. Detailed but actionable.”

and Teacher
“This course is like a mini-MBA, useful for beginners or advanced. I particularly appreciate George’s emphasis on authenticity and making a real impact on people’s daily lives.”

“George has made tracking via the (originally) dreaded spreadsheets attractive, comprehensive and do-able. I feel confident that implementing this course will improve my business.”

“Best value for money I have experienced in a while. George is so generous with all the content, tools and exercises, and the strong focus is on taking aligned action.”

“George Kao’s Business Planning course is well structured, easy to follow, and down to earth. George teaches it directly from his kind heart to your heart.”

What business school didn’t teach me
I have an MBA, yet I teach planning nothing like business school did. This course is roughly the seventh version of my planning framework since 2009, and my best yet.
Early on, I assumed my ideal client was a man my age with an MBA. My early clients were mostly women about twenty years older, and they taught me to find my people by serving them.
I also used to expect clients to work on all seven practices at once. Now we start with the one that fits your level.
A good fit if…
- ✓You’re a coach, healer, teacher or other soulpreneur, just starting or years in
- ✓You have more ideas than time, and you’re not sure what to focus on first
- ✓Business plans have felt like pressure, and you’d like one that fits your real week
- ✓You’re returning to your business after a pause, and want a gentle way back in
- ✓You like learning at your own pace, and coming back to the course when your business changes
Probably not if…
- ×You want live coaching or feedback on your plan. This course is recorded
- ×You want a plan for fast growth at any cost. This course is about a pace you can sustain
- ×You’d rather not use Google Docs or Sheets. The templates live there, and any free Google account works
By the end, you’ll…
- 1Know which level your business is at, what to focus on now, and what can wait.
- 2Have one to three focus practices, each with an experiment sized to your real week.
- 3Keep your whole plan on one page, in your own copy of the BizPlan Template.
- 4Build your plan around your strengths and the work that gives you energy.
- 5Have a way through the blocks that stall most plans, like not wanting to bother people.

Before you enroll
“Do I need an established business?”
No. Whether you’re just starting or years in, the 5 Levels help you see where your business is, and what to focus on at that level.
“How much time does it take?”
The videos add up to about five hours, in short lessons. The four core planning modules take about three and a half of those.
Go at whatever pace fits your life, and come back to it when your business changes.
“What if I only have a few hours a week for my business?”
The course starts there. You find your Minimum Viable Week and size your plan to those hours.
“Can’t AI just write me a plan?”
It can write one in seconds. What it can’t decide for you is what belongs in your plan at your level, and what to leave out.
This course teaches you to make those choices, and Module 5 covers where AI does help.
“Can I try it before I buy?”
Yes. Module 1 is free to watch for 72 hours after you sign up with your email: start the free replay.
If you buy the course, Module 1 comes with it, along with all the others, and you keep them for life.
“Is there live teaching, or feedback on my plan?”
The course is recorded, and it doesn’t include personal feedback on your plan.
You’ll hear the questions the live group asked, with my answers. And you can bring your own questions to my free monthly Q&A call.
“Can I use it with my AI?”
Yes. Give a module’s lesson document to ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, and work through the course together.
“How is this different from other business courses?”
Most business courses teach strategies without helping you see which ones fit your situation. This one starts with where your business is now, then helps you do less, better.
