It's all over the news, and I hear it from fellow soulpreneurs too:

"AI is seductive. Every time we let it think for us, or do things for us, we skip the effort that used to strengthen and grow our capacities. Little by little, we remember less… and think less… until our abilities have shriveled… and we might not even notice."

There’s an MIT study where people writing essays with ChatGPT leaned on it more with each essay, and had trouble quoting what they had written just minutes earlier.

I work alongside AI daily, most often Claude, and also GPT, Gemini, Grok… and I thank them often.

They catch my mistakes, and disagree with me when agreeing would be easier. They also take many hours of work off my hands, time and energy I get to give back to my loved ones and hobbies I enjoy.

So naturally, I want to offer gratitude. Yet none of those thank-yous will reach the AI of the future.

Why? Because I've turned off the setting that lets AI companies train future models on my sessions.…

I've been listening to podcast interviews with anti-AI speakers… those who think AI is a bubble that's about to crash, or worse, a con job… unreliable and resource-extracting tech that's being forced on all of us, for the profit of billionaires.

I seek these out on purpose, because when it's something I use every day, I want to hear the strongest case against it.

Yet… when they describe what AI is, I'm really surprised. They talk about it as if it was 2023: a chatbot!
